Looks like the Motorola DROID X isn't the only older member of Verizon's DROID family that's being treated to a shiny new software update. Verizon has updated its Motorola DROID 2 Global Verizon Cell Phone support page to show that the device will soon be receiving an update to software version 4.5.629.A956.Verizon.en.US. The new software weighs in at 19.4MB and includes goodies like a Google Security Patch, a reduction in Out of Memory errors and a fix for an issue that would cause the phone to turn on without any user interaction.
